Procedure

What to expect

During an extensive preliminary consultation, your doctor will examine your medical history and any current health problems. Based on the results, the procedure may be tailored to your requirements. The following functional tests will be carried out during the subsequent physical examination.

Functional tests

  • Abdomen Ultrasound
  • Gastroscopy (medication included)
  • Coloscopy (medication & polypectomy included)

Laboratory parameters

  • Complete blood count (including blood smear differentiation)
  • Blood fats (total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides)
  • Liver values (GOT, GPT, Gamma-GT, LDH, alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin)
  • Kidney values (creatinine, urea)
  • Gout values (uric acid)
  • Inflammation values (CRP, leukocytes, BSG)
  • Electrolytes and minerals (potassium, iron, calcium, sodium)
  • Glucose (including long-term glucose level HbA1c)
  • Immune system (electrophoresis)

Follow-up

Once the functional tests are finished, your doctor will discuss with you the first results and can recommend and schedule more comprehensive examinations and suggest treatment. A final report with all results will be sent to you within the next 3 weeks.
